Britain's Got Talent champion Lee Ridley, widely recognised as Lost Voice Guy, has been admitted to hospital following a serious fall over the weekend.
Comedian Forced to Cancel Performances
The 2018 ITV show winner revealed he was rushed to accident and emergency after he split his head open during the incident. The accident has led to the cancellation of two of his scheduled comedy gigs.
Taking to social media, Ridley shared details of the event with his characteristic humour, temporarily renaming himself Lost Balance Guy. He posted on Tuesday, 16th December 2025, to update his followers on the situation.
A Message of Resilience to the Disabled Community
In his candid post, Ridley acknowledged the frustrations of living with a disability, stating it can be extremely challenging even when life is going well. He described feeling silly and useless after the fall but was keen to avoid sympathy.
Instead, his message focused on resilience and acceptance. This is a post to say it's ok to feel like that sometimes, he wrote. If you're disabled, you already know this part. The disabled community is incredibly resilient.
He emphasised that this resilience is not about being heroic, but about the daily determination to keep going. We pause, recover, and carry on. However that looks for you, he added, offering solidarity to others facing similar struggles.
The comedian, who uses a communication aid due to cerebral palsy, has become a beloved figure in British entertainment since his BGT victory, known for his sharp wit and advocacy.
