Kathy Griffin Hospitalized After Colonoscopy Issues

Kathy Griffin has revealed she spent the night in the hospital after experiencing complications from a colonoscopy procedure. The 65-year-old comedian addressed the health scare in an Instagram post shared on Thursday, captioning it with a lighthearted remark: “A not so tech savvy update.”

Details of the Health Scare

In the first slide of her post, Griffin shared a handwritten note explaining that the audio in her video was compromised. She wrote: “Well, the sound got screwed up, but I made this video for you guys because I’m TMI anyway. I spent the night in the hospital because I had complications from my colonoscopy. I know, I know very sexy.” She added that she is now “home now with the doggies where I belong.”

Colonoscopy screenings involve a doctor passing a flexible tube with a video camera through the colon to check for colorectal cancer. These procedures are recommended regularly for older adults as a preventive measure against a highly treatable disease.
