The 52-year-old actor is currently on life support at a Southern California hospital, according to his family, who spoke with TMZ.

Monroe Jr.'s mother took to Facebook to share an emotional plea for support, writing: 'God don’t make no mistakes, but he is gracious, and I am humbly asking for his mercy and grace for Sam. I love you, son, to the moon and back 100 times.'
