Ex-Hollyoaks star Alfie Browne-Sykes announces baby news

Former Hollyoaks actor Alfie Browne-Sykes has delighted fans by announcing he is expecting his first child with his fiancée, Aimee Scott. The couple shared their happy news on social media, revealing they are set to welcome a new addition to their family.

An Adorable Instagram Announcement

The 31-year-old actor, best known for playing Jason Roscoe on the Channel 4 soap between 2013 and 2016, posted a sweet photograph to announce the pregnancy. The image featured a baby grow with the words “Baby Browne-Sykes coming soon”, alongside ultrasound scan pictures.

In a heartfelt caption, the couple wrote: “Our little miracle, Baby Browne-Sykes. You are already so loved. You have the sweetest big brother who is already so excited to play, protect, and love you. Our hearts are so full, and we feel incredibly blessed to be growing our family.”

A Blended Family's Joy

Alfie is already a stepfather to Aimee's four-year-old son, Zach William, from a previous relationship. The actor often refers to Zach affectionately as “his bo”, and the trio have formed a close-knit unit, frequently sharing holiday snaps together.

The pair first met at London Liverpool Street station in December 2022. In a romantic full-circle moment, Alfie proposed at the same station two years later, in December 2024.

Well-Wishes from Soap Co-Stars

The announcement was quickly met with a flood of congratulations from the showbiz world, including former Hollyoaks colleagues. Co-stars Jessica Fox, 42, and Nikki Sanderson, 41, were among those sending their best wishes.

One wrote: “I am over the moon for you both. I know what this means to you.” Another added: “Congrats @mrbrownesykes best news ever your be the best parents out there super proud of u both.”

Life After Hollyoaks

Since leaving the soap, Alfie has stepped away from acting and retrained in the roofing industry. He discussed the career change on the Just Real podcast, admitting it could be challenging when clients recognised him from his TV days.

He said: “Going to work every day, working on people's roofs and them recognising you from Hollyoaks is a hard thing to deal with at first – especially when they make comments and don't realise what they are saying to you.”

Alfie was previously in a relationship with his on-screen love interest, actress Amanda Clapham, who played Holly Cunningham. Reports at the time suggested he left Hollyoaks in 2016 'to save his relationship' with Amanda. The couple split in 2020.
