Love Island's Georgia Harrison rushed to hospital weeks after baby's birth
Georgia Harrison hospitalised after postnatal complications

Former Love Island star and women's rights campaigner Georgia Harrison has shared a worrying health update, revealing she was rushed to hospital in an ambulance just weeks after giving birth to her first child.

An Ambulance Dash and a Scare for the New Mum

The 31-year-old reality TV personality, who welcomed daughter Sahara Jean Stacey with boyfriend Jack Stacey on October 30, was taken back to the same hospital where she had given birth. Harrison disclosed the frightening episode was due to suffering from a "nasty" postnatal infection.

She documented the ordeal on Instagram, posting a photo of herself looking pale while strapped to an ambulance stretcher outdoors. In a candid caption accompanying the post, Harrison wrote, "Here’s the most random dump you’ll ever see. It’s been a whirlwind of a week, I ended up back where Sahara was born with a nasty infection but I’m on the road to recovery now."

Road to Recovery and First Family Christmas

Thankfully, the new mum confirmed she is now recovering. Her mother, Nicola, expressed her relief in the comments, writing, "Scary days sweetie so pleased your feeling better for Christmas." Harrison added that the family is now looking forward to their first Christmas together.

The social media post wasn't all worry, however. It also featured happier, heartwarming moments from her early days of motherhood. Adorable snaps included:

  • Baby Sahara wearing a "My First Christmas" jumper.
  • Georgia cuddling her newborn on the sofa.
  • A sweet family moment with Sahara on her father Jack's lap during a restaurant meal.

Harrison also shared a behind-the-scenes photo from her appearance on Loose Women, where she had taken Sahara to the studios, and another from a visit to a hot yoga studio.

A Whirlwind Romance and a "Beautiful Surprise"

Georgia Harrison and city worker Jack Stacey, who met on a dating app, welcomed their daughter just under two months ago, a few days before her due date. The pregnancy, which Harrison revealed in an exclusive interview with OK! magazine back in May 2025, came as a surprise to the couple, who had been dating for only ten months.

"We both definitely wanted children, but we didn’t quite plan on it this soon," she admitted at the time, calling the pregnancy a "beautiful surprise." She also noted that becoming a mother had given her a renewed drive in her activism, stating, "I want the world to be a better place because I’m bringing my own child into it."

Harrison was awarded an MBE by Prince William earlier this year while heavily pregnant, in recognition of her campaigning work on women's rights.
