Holly Hagan's Baby Gender Reveal: A Joyful Moment Amid Grief
Holly Hagan reveals baby gender after sister's death

Reality television personality Holly Hagan has shared a poignant and joyful moment with her followers, revealing the gender of her unborn child. This happy news comes just weeks after the devastating loss of her teenage sister.

A Bittersweet Celebration

The 33-year-old Geordie Shore star, who is already mother to two-year-old Alpha-Jax, announced she was expecting her second child with footballer husband Jacob Blyth in November. On Sunday, the couple posted a touching gender reveal video from their home.

In the clip, the small family stood by their Christmas tree as Jacob fired a confetti cannon. The air was instantly filled with pink confetti, confirming they are expecting a baby girl. Holly, cradling her toddler, was visibly moved to tears, with Jacob pulling her in for a comforting kiss on the head.

Navigating Grief and New Life

This celebration is set against a backdrop of profound sorrow. In October, Holly made the heartbreaking announcement that her 19-year-old half-sister, Darci Rose Gibson, had died. Greater Manchester Police later stated that the teenager had "fallen seriously ill after it is believed she had taken drugs" and passed away in hospital on 20 October 2025.

In a vulnerable Instagram post in November, Holly described the aftermath as "the toughest four weeks of our entire life." She confessed, "I actually just don’t know how to process this whole situation," adding that she felt "weighted by lead" in her grief.

Messages of Support and Hope

The comments on the gender reveal video were flooded with support from friends and fans. TOWIE's Georgia Kousoulou wrote, "I just knew it... your sister sent her," while former co-star Nathan Henry added his congratulations. Holly had previously predicted she was having a girl, saying she had been feeling "girl vibes."

This pregnancy is particularly meaningful for Holly, who suffered a miscarriage earlier in the year. When announcing the pregnancy last month, she called the baby "our little rainbow amongst the storm," with Baby Blyth number two due in May 2026.

While Holly continues to navigate her immense grief, this moment of pink confetti and family hugs offers a beacon of hope and new beginnings for the Hagan-Blyth family.
