Meghan McCain, the daughter of the late US Senator John McCain, has announced the joyful arrival of her third child, a baby boy, over the weekend.
A New Arrival for the McCain-Domenech Family
The 41-year-old television personality and her husband, political commentator Ben Domenech, welcomed their first son in the early hours of Friday, January 2nd. The newborn, a healthy boy weighing 9lbs 2oz, completes their young family.
In a heartfelt post on her Instagram account, McCain shared the news with her followers. "We are absolutely over the moon to share that our son Ransom McCain Domenech has finally arrived at the crack of dawn," she wrote. The new mother of three expressed immense gratitude, adding, "We’re so grateful to the incredible doctors and medical staff who took such wonderful care of all of us."
An Unconventional Name and a Growing Family
The couple have chosen the distinctive name Ransom McCain Domenech for their son, continuing the theme of unique names they began with their daughters. Their older children are five-year-old Liberty and two-year-old Clover.
McCain confirmed that the entire family is adjusting happily to the new addition. "Liberty and Clover couldn’t be more excited to have a baby brother," she stated. "Our family is overwhelmed with blessings... Our family is officially a party of 5." She described the household as being "blissed out over the moon" but also honestly admitted that everyone is "happy, healthy and exhausted."

Alongside her announcement, McCain posted a touching album of photographs capturing the first moments with baby Ransom. One image shows McCain in her hospital bed, nuzzling her swaddled newborn while Domenech looks on affectionately. Another peaceful snapshot features the sleeping baby, still in the hospital, wrapped in a blanket and wearing a tiny cap.
