Carol Vorderman, 61, has been forced to pull out of her radio show after falling ill with flu. The former Countdown star shared a video on Saturday revealing she was 'still full of cold' and unable to host her programme on BBC Radio Wales.

In the clip, Vorderman said she had been unable to sing and was struggling with symptoms. She added that she had not washed her hair but had applied makeup to 'hide a multitude of pain'. The presenter also posted a mirror selfie in skintight leather trousers and a video of herself kicking leaves in a park after gaining a burst of energy.

Vorderman's health update came as she shared throwback snaps on Instagram showcasing her svelte figure in a black pleather top and red co-ord. She also announced plans to discuss menopause, fitness and fashion in upcoming Instagram live videos, asking fans for topic suggestions.
