Married at First Sight UK star Peggy, 32, was rushed to hospital after suffering a severe allergic reaction while filming the show. The participant revealed she had an unexpected allergy to dust, which caused significant health issues during her time in the apartments.
Peggy explained that the reaction was exacerbated by her location near Wembley, where grass was cut three times daily, triggering her pollen allergy. 'My eyes were swelling up every morning. I was in and out of hospital several times on antibiotics, steroids,' she said. The stress of filming also contributed to her condition.
The reality star also opened up about her previous career as a technology risk partner, which she quit due to health concerns. 'My old job was making me ill. I hadn't had a period in four years because of stress,' she confessed. She has since pursued her passion for fashion.
Addressing online comments about her appearance, Peggy said: 'You get comments like, "She looks pregnant," and I'm like, "I would love to be pregnant because I don't know if I can have children at the moment."' She described the public as 'supportive' overall.
Peggy did not confirm whether she is still with her on-screen partner Georges but expressed gratitude for their journey. 'We've had our ups and downs, but I feel like every relationship goes through that,' she said. Married at First Sight UK airs Monday to Thursday at 9pm on E4.
