Davina McCall Shows Off Toned Abs in Yoga Session with Husband
Davina McCall, the renowned television presenter, proudly displayed her toned abs during a strength training yoga workout with her husband, Michael Douglas, on a recent Tuesday. The 58-year-old star shared a clip on Instagram, giving her fans an inside look at how she maintains her incredible figure. In the video, Davina worked up a sweat on a yoga mat, performing a series of core-strengthening moves before striking a playful pose with Michael, 49, who is a hairdresser.
Davina sported an eye-catching orange crop top and a pair of hot pink shorts in the footage. Alongside the post, she wrote: 'I've just managed to edit this. It was from a couple of days ago. I love strength training using my body weight. I'm really beginning to see benefits from practising something again and again. Have a lovely day everyone.. and thanks again @roisinhopeyoga I'm loving yoga so much.'
Emotional Health Update: All-Clear from Breast Cancer
This fitness display comes after Davina McCall shared an emotional update about her health, revealing she has been given the all-clear from breast cancer. She announced the news on Friday during her podcast, Making The Cut, which she co-hosts with Michael. Davina spoke candidly about her journey, six months after undergoing a lumpectomy followed by radiotherapy in January.
'I went to go and have a checkup on my boobs the other day, obviously quite a serious day, quite heavy,' she said. 'It was all clear, just letting everyone know. Good news, good news.' The Long Lost Family host discovered a lump in her breast while working on ITV's The Masked Singer, leading to a lumpectomy last October. She completed five days of preventative radiotherapy in January as an 'insurance policy' to prevent the cancer from returning.
Brightening a Heavy Day with a Credit Card Wand
Davina added a touch of joy to her recent hospital appointment in London by using a credit card wand she had purchased after seeing it on social media. 'I went to go and pay my bill and I tapped my wand and literally people were beside themselves,' she explained. 'I thought, this heavy day has become very joyful and funny. And I've not only put a smile on other people's faces, but I've put a smile on mine.'
She described the wand as quite large, akin to something a fairy godmother would use, with a star on top that unscrews to slot in a debit or credit card. 'I've tried it everywhere now,' Davina elaborated, highlighting how small moments of fun can alleviate stress during serious health matters.
Davina's Health Battles and Recovery Journey
Davina McCall revealed her breast cancer diagnosis last November, expressing initial anger but finding a more positive outlook after surgery. The lump was discovered after she saw signs posted by Lorraine Kelly in the ITV studios urging women to check their breasts. Fortunately, the cancer was caught very early with clear margins after the lumpectomy, and her lymph nodes were also clear.
This diagnosis came just one year after Davina underwent surgery in November 2024 to remove a benign brain tumour—a rare colloid cyst discovered during a health check-up related to a menopause talk. The 14mm cyst required a six-hour craniotomy, and Davina has spoken openly about memory issues and emotional struggles during her recovery.
Reflecting on the timing, Davina said: 'In October, interestingly two years almost to the month where I found out I had a brain tumour, I got breast cancer, and it felt like being punched in the face by the universe.' She credited her husband Michael for helping her navigate her emotions, allowing her to express anger and find therapeutic release through activities like pillow punching.
Personal Life and Advocacy
Davina and Michael married last December in an intimate ceremony near their Kent home, attended by around ten close friends and family members. They announced their engagement in September 2025 after Michael proposed on a beach in Ibiza in July. The couple has been together since 2018, having first met in the early 2000s when Michael worked as Davina's hairstylist on Big Brother.
Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers globally, affecting over two million women annually. In the UK, there are more than 55,000 new cases each year, with 11,500 deaths, while in the US, it strikes 266,000 and kills 40,000. Early detection through regular checks is crucial, as symptoms can include lumps, skin dimpling, colour changes, discharge, and nipple rashes.
Treatment options vary, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and hormone therapy, with success rates higher when diagnosed early. Davina's story underscores the importance of awareness and proactive health management, inspiring others to stay vigilant and positive in the face of adversity.
