A major UK supermarket has announced that children can enjoy a free breakfast every day of the half-term, starting on Monday, May 25. The free breakfast clubs are returning nationwide in time for the spring break, with the café offer running across England, Scotland, and Wales.
Morrisons Brings Back Kellogg's Breakfast Clubs
Morrisons is reviving the Kellogg's 'Breakfast Clubs' to provide a complimentary breakfast for both adults and children throughout the school holidays. Families can choose from Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies, served with dairy or non-dairy milk, along with a free apple or banana.
The offer is available at Morrisons Cafés nationwide during every school holiday this year. The next dates are from May 25 to May 31, and the promotion is redeemable all day, from Monday through Sunday.
Kids Eat Free Meal Deal
Shoppers may also be interested in the Morrisons Kids Eat Free offer, which provides a complimentary meal and a free drink for one child aged 16 or under when an adult meal over £5 is purchased. Customers receive one free kids meal from the Birds Eye kids menu, including a main meal, a side, a choice of vegetables, and a drink.
The meal options include four Birds Eye chicken dippers, three Birds Eye fish fingers, two sausages, two veggie sausages, or a Goodfella's mini margherita pizza. The mix-and-match meal typically costs £4. Adults can purchase two adult meals and two refillable drinks for £15 from 12pm daily, with options like ham, egg, and chips or bangers, mash, garden peas, and gravy.
Research Highlights Holiday Pressure on Families
Research from Kellogg's and Morrisons indicates that one in three parents struggles to feed their children during school holidays, rising to two in five among parents aged 25–34. Additionally, eight in ten parents have worried about their food lasting until their next grocery shop during the break, and 77 per cent report spending more on food during school holidays.
Matt Khan, Senior Trader for Morrisons Café, said: "We know the school holidays can bring extra pressures for families, from food costs to keeping routines in place. We’re here to help by opening our Café spaces up for Breakfast Clubs to give families a chance to enjoy a simple, balanced breakfast together while continuing to offer our popular Kids Eat Free deal year round."
