The 37-year-old athlete, renowned for completing 30 marathons in 30 days, is urging the public to prioritise joint health ahead of this month's London Marathon.

Shocking Statistics on Pain and Injury

According to comprehensive research conducted by The Turmeric Co., four in ten Britons are currently managing some form of injury, with knee pain sharing the top spot alongside lower back issues. The study uncovered that 47% of those who exercise regularly depend on painkillers merely to maintain their activity levels.

This reliance on medication highlights a deeper crisis: more than a quarter (28%) of respondents report that pain or injury directly impacts their daily activities, while 21% admit to training less frequently or at reduced intensity due to physical limitations. A further fifth have been compelled to cease exercising entirely for periods, with runners estimating they lose approximately 3.6 hours of weekly exercise as a direct consequence of pain or injury.
