Dr Syed Nadeem Abbas, a specialist in intimate male treatments at the Dr SNA clinic in London, has observed a dramatic increase in British men requesting the so-called 'vampire penis facial', also known as the P-shot. The procedure, which costs around £1,000, involves drawing blood from one part of the body and injecting platelet-rich plasma into the penis to improve size, blood flow, sensitivity, and performance.
Rise in Popularity Since 2021
According to Dr Abbas, the P-shot has transitioned from a niche request to one of his most sought-after treatments. "Since 2021, I have personally seen a huge rise in the number of men coming to me for the P-Shot. Where I might once have seen the occasional patient, it is now one of the most requested procedures we offer," he said.
He attributes this surge partly to the influence of online pornography, which he says sets unrealistic standards for penis size. "We cannot ignore the influence of the adult entertainment industry. A lot of men are making comparisons to what they see in pornography, which sets an unrealistic standard, and that has a real effect on how they feel about themselves," Dr Abbas explained.
Motivations: Confidence and Size Concerns
Dr Abbas noted that motivations vary among patients. "Some men are simply self-conscious and want to feel more confident in themselves. Others are very clear that they want to be bigger," he said. While penis size anxiety is not new, the reduced stigma around discussing these concerns has encouraged more men to seek solutions.
"What has changed most is the willingness to talk about it. Men are far more open now. They see it the same way they would see any other form of self-improvement, like going to the gym or having cosmetic work done," Dr Abbas added. "Men have suffered in silence for far too long. The fact that they now feel able to come forward is a positive thing."

The P-shot involves extracting platelet-rich plasma from the patient's blood and injecting it into the penis to enhance blood flow and sensitivity.
