Beaten Street Dog Archie Seeks Loving UK Forever Home
Beaten Dog Archie Seeks Loving UK Forever Home

An adorable dog named Archie, a German Shepherd mix, is searching for a loving forever home after enduring severe cruelty on the streets. He was rescued by a kind woman who witnessed him being brutally beaten by a stranger.

Rescue and Journey to the UK

The woman brought Archie to her workplace for shelter before handing him over to the animal rescue charity Miracle's Mission. He was then flown to the United Kingdom, where he has a better chance of finding a permanent home. A statement from the charity reads: 'Zawawi (now Archie) was rescued by a kind lady after he was very badly beaten by a man in the street. She gave him shelter at her workplace but he cannot live there forever.'

The statement continues: 'The lady told us that because he is a large dog weighing around 30kg people were scared of him on the street and he was always subject to their violence. After taking refuge in the workshop Zawawi no longer wanted to be on the streets. He was frightened to go out there. He also doesn't like the extreme heat in Egypt.'

Archie's True Character

Now settled in the UK, eight-year-old Archie has moved in with a foster family and has begun to reveal his true personality. The charity describes him as a 'really nice, laid back boy.' The statement adds: 'Archie is calm, loving, friendly with all dogs and yet still has a playful side. He is in good health and ready to find a forever home to call his own after waiting a lifetime already.'

Archie could live with older children, but due to his size, very young kids might not be suitable.

Community Support

Responding to his rehoming post on Facebook, one user commented: 'Archie is an absolutely stunning boy and so deserves his forever home. He just needs that special person to fall in love with him.' Another user wrote: 'Best wishes sweetheart.' A third said: 'Have shared for lovely Archie.'

About Miracle's Mission

Founded in 2015, Miracle's Mission is dedicated to 'provide a place of safety for animals in danger, to educate on the need for neutering both pets and strays, and to neuter stray dogs and cats to prevent the birth of more animals onto the streets.' The charity is named after a puppy rescued from Borneo who survived severe illness and injuries against all odds.
