Kayla Itsines Shares Six No-Equipment Ab Exercises for a Toned Core
Kayla Itsines' Six No-Equipment Ab Exercises for Core Strength

Fitness entrepreneur Kayla Itsines has unveiled the straightforward, no-equipment exercise regimen she uses to maintain her toned midsection. The 35-year-old mother of two took to Instagram on Tuesday, posting a series of videos demonstrating six abdominal exercises along with a simple caption breakdown of the routine.

The Workout Details

Dressed in a tiny purple crop top and matching bike shorts, the bronzed brunette displayed her rock-hard abs as she effortlessly performed each move: single leg ab bike, straight leg jack knife, alternate single leg raises, controlled mountain climbers, reverse crunch and hip lift, and a plank rock.

“No equipment. These are the six ab exercises I keep coming back to,” she wrote, advising fans to aim for 30-40 seconds per exercise and complete the entire routine for four rounds. “SAVE THIS! Your core will thank you later,” the Sweat app founder added with a winking emoji.

Fan Reactions

Fans quickly praised the super-fit influencer. One commented, “You make it look so easy,” while another wrote, “I love your workouts!”

Previous Shower Habits Revealed

This post follows Kayla’s earlier revelation about her unusual shower habits. In December, she shared on Instagram several non-negotiables in her hygiene routine. “I don’t want to say OCD without getting properly diagnosed, but I won’t leave the shower if I don’t brush my teeth twice, wash my face twice and wash my body in a certain order,” she began.

She added that she needs full concentration to avoid distraction, which would force her to start over. “If anyone distracts me or I forget how many times I have done it, I have to do it all over again,” she wrote. “Yeah, that’s where I’m at, haha.”

Career Journey

Kayla first rose to fame over a decade ago with her Bikini Body Guide e-book, which evolved into the internationally successful Sweat fitness platform co-founded with ex-fiancé Tobi Pearce. In 2021, she sold Sweat to US fitness giant iFIT for a reported $400 million, before buying it back in 2023 at a reduced price.

The personal trainer landed on the Australian Financial Review Young Rich List in 2024 at number 34, just behind Hollywood star Margot Robbie. In 2025, she placed number 40 on the Aussie line-up, with her fitness empire valued at an astonishing $176 million.
