Woman with UK's Largest Breasts Faces Public Criticism

Jackie Adedeji, who has the UK's largest breasts at a size 36K, has spoken out about the public criticism and sexualisation she has faced. In a new Channel 4 documentary, 'My Big Boobs: UNTOLD', she describes being 'super sexualised' from the age of 11, with men licking their lips at her as she walked to school. She also recalls colleagues staring at her in meetings, making her feel like a 'sexual object'.

Adedeji says having larger breasts is not taken seriously in the UK, often seen as 'funny and silly'. She explains the mental toll, stating that people feel ownership over her body, treating her breasts as 'public property'. Growing up in a religious home, she faced cultural pressures to be modest, and as a black woman, she felt her breasts were not seen as a positive attribute.

Breast reductions are becoming more common, with 5,270 procedures in 2022, a 120% increase from the previous year, according to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS). Many women struggle to access the surgery on the NHS. Amber, 26, from Cornwall, was rejected several times before taking out a loan for a private operation, which she calls 'the best decision I ever made'. Rachael, 28, waited 10 years for an NHS reduction, after being told to lose weight despite a healthy BMI.

BAAPS vice-president Nora Nugent says breast reductions are effective for both functional and aesthetic reasons, improving physical comfort, body image, and practicalities like clothing fit. She believes the procedure is becoming less taboo, as it is no longer associated with secrecy.
