The warning comes as British citizens are told to prepare for a potential conflict on a scale not seen since the days of their grandparents.

In a televised rant that has sent shockwaves across the continent, leading Kremlin propagandist and television host Vladimir Solovyov issued a fresh menace to NATO nations. During his nightly show, Solovyov listed capital cities he claimed Russia would be forced to attack, stating: "Once again we will have to destroy Berlin, and enter this godforsaken city. Once again we will have to enter Paris. Once again we will have to liberate Vienna."
Most alarmingly for the UK, Solovyov declared that "a nuclear strike on Britain is inevitable." He justified this by claiming the presence of British armed forces in Ukraine constitutes a "casus belli" – a justification for war. The propagandist concluded his tirade with a stark warning to the West: "It doesn't mean that we want this... please don't blame us."

This incendiary rhetoric coincides with grave warnings from Western security officials about the escalating danger from Moscow. In a speech delivered in Germany this week, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that "Russia is already escalating its covert campaign against our societies."
The UK is now believed to be confronting its most severe military peril in decades, with the public urged to mentally prepare for the possibility of a major war. Security and intelligence specialist Professor Anthony Glees from the University of Buckingham warned the Mirror that the nation is "fighting for our way of life" and must rearm swiftly.
Professor Glees outlined a terrifying scenario, predicting that any conflict would likely mirror the ongoing war in Ukraine initially, rather than beginning with full-scale nuclear exchanges. However, he cautioned that if Russian President Vladimir Putin were to feel cornered, the situation could rapidly escalate.
What Would a Modern War Mean for Britain?
The professor provided a grim forecast of what a direct confrontation with Russia could entail for British soil. He believes the chances of an armed conflict between Russia and NATO, in which the UK would be deeply involved, are "now all too real."
In a nuclear scenario, Professor Glees predicts hostilities would be initiated and concluded within mere hours, offering no time for a formal ultimatum or public preparation. "If the next war is a nuclear war, it will be up and running in hours and over in hours. There will be no winners, only losers," he stated.
He envisions a suicidal Putin ordering attacks on key sites across the UK and continental Europe without warning, leaving populations with scant opportunity to react. "There will be no time for anyone to do very much except prepare for deep impact extinction as best they can," he warned.
These dire predictions unfold against the backdrop of stalled peace efforts in Ukraine.
