The Trump administration released long-awaited UFO files on Friday, publishing hundreds of previously unseen photographs, videos, and records related to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).
Declassified Documents Include Apollo 17 Transcript
Among the trove of declassified government files uploaded to the Department of War's website was a transcript from the Apollo 17 mission in 1972, detailing mysterious bright fragments floating near the spacecraft.
'Now we've got a few very bright particles or fragments or something that go drifting by as we maneuver,' one astronaut told mission control. Another replied: 'There's a whole bunch of big ones on my window down there - just bright. It looks like the Fourth of July out of Ron's window.'
President Trump Celebrates Release
President Donald Trump celebrated the release in a Truth Social post, stating he ordered the declassification of information tied to 'alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs).' He added, 'GOD BLESS AMERICA!'
The documents were uploaded months after Trump ordered Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to declassify government records related to UFOs and alleged extraterrestrial activity. The release also included images from NASA's Apollo 12 mission, showing unexplained dots hovering above the lunar surface.
