King Charles was treated to a "VIP" movie ticket when he visited a community cinema run by passionate film fans in the seaside town of Newcastle, Northern Ireland. The King toured the local attraction, which has been hosting screenings since 2009, during his second day in Ulster.
Community Hub
The cinema has become a focal point for the local community, nestled in the picturesque location with Slieve Donard, Northern Ireland's highest peak, providing a dramatic backdrop. Upon arrival, the King was presented with a cinema ticket from the box office, printed with "VIP Guest" to mark his visit.
Versatile Venue
Organisers allow the cinema to be used for a variety of events beyond movie screenings, including stand-up comedy, performances by community groups, and martial arts activities. They also host KnitFlix nights, where the audience is encouraged to knit, crochet, or engage in crafting while watching a film.
