Big Brother Star Holly Young Stuns with FHM Cover and Hair Makeover
Big Brother Star Holly Young Stuns with FHM Cover

She was the reality TV star who won over viewers, but Big Brother Australia star Holly Young is officially trading the house cameras for the high-fashion lens. The 31-year-old beauty has showcased her incredible post-show makeover by landing the coveted cover of FHM Australia's upcoming June issue, looking every inch the international supermodel.

A Stunning Beach Photoshoot

Sizzling in a series of ultra-glamorous, sun-drenched shots captured on a picturesque Sydney beach, Holly looked almost unrecognisable from her time on the Channel Ten reality series last year. Ditching the casual loungewear of the Big Brother house, the brunette bombshell turned up the heat in a tiny, earth-toned crochet bikini adorned with delicate seashells that highlighted her toned physique. Holding a massive tropical leaf over her shoulder, Holly stared down the lens with a fierce, sun-kissed gaze.

But it wasn't just the skimpy swimwear catching everyone's attention—the reality star debuted a dramatic new hair transformation. Her signature brunette locks have been elegantly coiffed into a vibrant, lively wet-look wave that flowed effortlessly past her shoulders, giving off major shipwrecked-chic vibes.

Inside the Magazine

Inside the glossy pages, the high-fashion shoot only gets more stunning. In one breathtaking look, the model looked radiant as she knelt at the water's edge with her damp hair catching the afternoon light. Another shot shows Holly lounging directly on the shoreline, draped in an intricate, layered body-chain made entirely of sea pearls and shells. Holding a large conch shell and sporting a classic mesh beach bag, she proved she knows exactly how to work her angles for a major magazine spread.

Opening Up About Neurodivergence

The cover shoot is a big move for the TV star, who in December claimed she was often misunderstood. The model, who was evicted from the reality show last year, believes that her neurodivergence made her hard to understand - and was 'used against her' during her time on the show. After leaving the house, she revealed she suffers from auditory processing disorder (APD), dyslexia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

'I [learned] to be a lot more cautious with what I say, because there were a lot of people that were nitpicking at every single thing that I said, and I wasn't really open about the fact that I have an auditory processing issue... that I am dyslexic with ADHD. That's a lot to deal with,' Holly told Refinery 29. 'Did I want to have to disclose that to the house? No. Should I have? It would have made it easier for me, potentially, but at the end of the day that's my choice, and I'm entitled to it, so the fact that was kind of used against me did hurt.'

APD is described as a neurological condition where the brain has difficulty processing what the ears have heard. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a behavioural condition defined by inattentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsiveness. Dyslexia causes problems with spelling and reading because it affects the way the brain processes information and particularly the sounds within words.

Holly said she 'didn't feel safe' bringing up her diagnoses in the house. 'I just didn't want to give anybody in the house any more ammunition, so I just thought that I would keep that to myself,' she said.
