Sydney Sweeney stuns in New York promoting boxing biopic Christy

Sydney Sweeney turned heads in Manhattan on Monday night as she promoted her new film Christy, stepping out in a chic brown twill coat and matching mini skirt. The 28-year-old actress was en route to a conversation with former professional boxer Christy Martin, whom she portrays in the upcoming biopic.

Sweeney accessorised with knee-high alligator-print boots, a matching handbag, and slim sunglasses, her bobbed hair styled in soft waves. The outing comes amid reports she has 'fully moved on' from ex-fiancé Jonathan Davino, with a burgeoning romance with record executive Scooter Braun, 44.

The event included a screening of Christy, set for release on 7 November. The film chronicles Martin's rise in 1990s boxing and the 2010 attack by her husband and manager, James V. Martin, who stabbed and shot her after she sought a divorce. Martin survived; James was sentenced to 25 years and died in prison in November 2024.

Sweeney posed with the real Christy Martin after the screening, even holding a championship belt from Martin's career. Among attendees was Katie Couric. Later, Sweeney changed into a sheer black top and furry vest to visit the Comedy Cellar in Manhattan.
