Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell share emotional birth story of son Bowden

Joe Sugg broke down in tears as he saw his newborn son for the first time, with the YouTuber and his partner Dianne Buswell sharing intimate details of the birth in a new video. The couple, who met on Strictly Come Dancing, welcomed their baby boy Bowden Mark Richard Sugg on 16 March 2026.

In a video posted to Joe's YouTube channel titled 'The best day of our lives', the pair documented the moments leading up to Dianne's emergency Caesarean section. Dianne explained that things 'escalated very very very fast' and she had to go into surgery, admitting she was nervous about the procedure despite having already had an epidural.

Joe could be heard sobbing as their son cried for the first time, while Dianne also sounded tearful. Through tears of joy, Joe told Dianne: 'You did it!' The couple later sang 'Happy Birthday' to their newborn in hospital.

The couple announced the birth earlier this month, with Joe sharing photos of Bowden swaddled in a cot and being carried out of the hospital in his car seat. He captioned the post: 'Never felt a love like it.' Dianne, a Strictly Come Dancing professional, and Joe, known for his YouTube career, revealed their pregnancy in September 2025.
