After years of speculation, R&B pioneers Mis-Teeq have officially announced they are reuniting for a special 25th anniversary concert. The iconic trio, consisting of Alesha Dixon (47), Sabrina Washington (47), and Su-Elise Nash (44), split in 2005 but are now set to dazzle London with a major 'One Night Stand' reunion at the OVO Arena Wembley on Saturday, September 12.
Celebrating a Legacy
The concert will feature all of the group's biggest hits, celebrating the Mis-Teeq sound and cultural impact that helped define an era. The announcement was made exclusively in Vogue, where the trio revealed their plans for this one-off show.
Why Now?
Alesha Dixon explained the timing: "We've been offered reunion stuff over the years, but it's never felt right. This time, everything just lined up." She added, "It feels like it is just slotting back into place, guys. It's just like it used to be – me saying too much and them two looking at me like, 'Oh, here she goes!'"
The reunion coincides with the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Lickin' On Both Sides. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on May 29, with a pre-sale opening at 10am on May 27 for eager fans.
Chart Success and Hiatus
Mis-Teeq, formed in 1999, achieved major chart success with two top-ten albums and seven consecutive singles in the UK Singles Chart, including the worldwide hit "Scandalous." However, in 2005, the group disbanded after their record label folded.
For years, fans speculated about a reunion. Three weeks ago, an Instagram profile was set up, followed by a post on Thursday declaring: "This profile has been claimed by Mis-Teeq. Hold tight for further updates."
Past Tensions Resolved
While Alesha was seen as the one holding back a reunion, in 2020 it emerged that Sabrina was suing her over song-writing royalties. A source claimed Sabrina alleged Alesha had "wrongfully claimed" royalties for their first two singles. However, the women have since settled their feud. Su-Elise recently told the Daily Mail: "Sabrina's back in the fold. We do catch up every now and then and we have a little Mis-Teeq WhatsApp group."
Su-Elise added: "We definitely have always said we would never say never... if the right opportunity presented itself, it's definitely something we would look at." She emphasized that any reunion would be "for the fun and the giggles."
