Kyle Sandilands has raised eyebrows after a surprise one-hour meeting with his former ARN boss, Hamish McLennan, on Friday afternoon. The pair are locked in a bitter legal dispute after the network terminated Sandilands' and co-star Jackie 'O' Henderson's $100 million contracts in March.
Meeting at McLennan's Home
As Sandilands' $85 million legal fight against the radio network continues in court, the 54-year-old shock jock was spotted arriving at McLennan's $40 million home in Sydney's Darling Point. Sandilands looked all business as he walked, talking on his phone before being greeted by McLennan at the door. The pair briefly chatted on the footpath before Sandilands went inside for about an hour. When asked about the visit, Sandilands said he was 'visiting a friend.'
Potential Settlement Talks
There have been rumblings that Sandilands might be open to a settlement to avoid a protracted legal fight. Friday's meeting could be the first step toward an amicable resolution. A source told news.com.au that Sandilands is eager to avoid a drawn-out trial and would consider a 'reasonable' offer from ARN. 'If there was a reasonable figure that made him feel like he didn't get totally f***ed over… yeah,' the source said. The source added that Sandilands is 'not interested' in hearing more 'unflattering' claims, such as those in Henderson's statement of claim.
New Project Teased
The meeting raises more questions than answers, especially after Sandilands teased a new show to fans. On Instagram, he posted a video saying, 'I'm working on a new project and all will be revealed soon. I'm coming back, guys, bigger than ever!' The clip showed him in a recording studio with a sign reading 'Kyle Sandilands Live,' suggesting a live-to-air show. He did not specify a launch date.
Legal Battle Continues
ARN, through its subsidiary Commonwealth Broadcasting Corporation, filed a countersuit against Sandilands and Henderson on April 21. They allege Sandilands created a toxic workplace, leading Henderson to refuse to work with him again. A key element is a December 2025 letter requiring Sandilands to comply with safe work policies, which a source says was related to ACMA breach findings. Both stars are suing for wrongful termination, with Sandilands seeking $85 million and Henderson $82 million. ARN denies the claims.
