Buckingham Palace has announced a major five-day royal tour for next month, led by Princess Anne. The King's sister, aged 75, will travel abroad with her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, starting July 13.
Visit to the Republic of Korea
The tour begins in the Republic of Korea, where the royal couple will stay until July 15. Their engagements will highlight the strong UK-Republic of Korea relationship, including commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Imjin River and honoring British soldiers who fought in the Korean War.
Engagements in Thailand
From July 16 to 17, Princess Anne will visit Thailand. Her schedule includes a visit to a local school in Bangkok supported by Save the Children Thailand, an audience with the Thai Prime Minister, and a meeting with Their Majesties The King and Queen.
History of Royal Visits
This is not Princess Anne's first visit to these countries. She previously visited Korea in 2018 for the Winter Olympics and has traveled to Thailand multiple times, including one trip with her parents, the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
Known as one of the hardest-working royals, Princess Anne is expected to embrace the upcoming tour with her characteristic dedication.
