During the intense pursuit, the suspect, identified as 41-year-old Randall Baker from Evansville, steered the vehicle directly towards a deputy who was attempting to deploy stop sticks. The stolen Bud Light truck struck and significantly damaged the patrol car, causing a chaotic scene. The semi-truck subsequently veered off the road and came to a rest in a nearby field, with the deputy fortunately remaining unharmed throughout the ordeal.

Arrest and Charges Following the Incident

Baker was arrested after law enforcement used pepperball rounds to subdue him. He is now facing preliminary charges that include attempted murder and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
