Two Bodies Found on Gold Coast Beaches Within 24 Hours

Police are investigating the deaths of two people whose bodies were discovered on separate beaches in the Gold Coast within 24 hours. The first body, a man in his 60s, was found at Echo Beach in Tallebudgera Creek at approximately 6:45am on Saturday. The second body, a woman believed to be in her 70s or 80s, was located at about 5:40am on Sunday near the Palm Beach Surf Lifesaving Club on Jefferson Lane.

Neither death is being treated as suspicious, and police have not indicated whether the incidents are linked. Queensland Police have established crime scenes at both locations and are continuing their investigations.

Police are appealing for public information to identify the woman, who is described as Caucasian, approximately 160-165cm tall, with short grey hair. She was wearing black tights, a dark-coloured t-shirt, a brown woollen jumper, and a brown puffer jacket, without shoes. Anyone with information is urged to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
