Social media personality KSI has urged the Sidemen to “be optimistic” following his announcement that he would be leaving the YouTube collective.
Olajide Olatunji, 32, took to Instagram on Wednesday, posting a carousel of images featuring himself alongside Sidemen members. KSI confirmed in the caption that his decision is “real”, after initial speculation that his exit might be part of a prank or bet.
KSI Addresses the Sidemen Directly
In a direct address to his former colleagues, KSI said: “I know you’re all grieving in your own way because of my decision, but you knew it was coming for a while.”
He encouraged them to “be optimistic” and “think positively”, reminding them of their audience. In full, KSI shared a fresh statement as he sent a plea to the YouTube group, urging them to look ahead rather than dwell on his departure.
The announcement has sparked widespread reaction among fans, with many expressing surprise at the sudden exit. However, KSI has stressed that the move is final and not part of any staged content.
