AFL WAG Kellie Finlayson Fights Back Against Troll Accusing Her of Faking Cancer
Kellie Finlayson Hits Back at Troll Over Cancer Claims

AFL WAG Kellie Finlayson has fiercely responded to a cruel troll who accused her of 'faking' her stage four bowel cancer battle. Kellie, married to former Port Adelaide AFL forward Jeremy Finlayson, shared a fiery social media update lashing out at the hater.

Confronting the Accusations

The 30-year-old told fans the troll had called her a 'fraud' and accused her of 'scamming the system.' She is determined to hold him accountable. The hater wrote: 'Still scamming the system. Terminal stage four, six years ago. Six years later still getting free s**t. Still trying to be famous after ya flop boyfriend lost his career, lol. You're a fraud and a charlatan and you deserve jail!'

Kellie, however, was not intimidated. She publicly asked her followers for help in tracking the person down. 'I don't want to give him the airtime he craves but is there anyone on here that wants to help me find this guy's workplace?' she posted.

She added with dark humour: 'Can someone tell my oncologist that I'm just joking? He keeps making me do chemo!!'

A Battle with Cancer

Kellie was diagnosed with terminal cancer four years ago after doctors discovered a tennis ball-sized tumour in her colon. In July, she appeared on Jess Rowe's Big Talk Show podcast Safe Space series, revealing she is 'thriving' thanks to lifestyle changes. 'It completely comes from mindset,' she said. 'I feel like I still live each day the same as I used to, if not with more life... I turned a really s***ty situation into a pretty incredible one... a really powerful one with a lot of purpose.'

Personal Life

Kellie married Port Adelaide player Jeremy in a beachside ceremony in March 2023. Their nuptials were postponed due to her cancer diagnosis. She wanted to marry before her hair completely fell out, as she had already started losing it. Kellie originally thought her symptoms were postpartum-related, saying, 'I had no friends that had babies either. All I had was Dr Google... which is never a good idea!'
