Charlotte Crosby Says Celebrity Traitors Bans Reality Stars

Charlotte Crosby has revealed that reality television stars are banned from appearing on the BBC's Celebrity Traitors. The Geordie Shore star, 35, expressed her frustration at the rule, which she described as a 'genuine fact'. She told The Sun that her agent confirmed the restriction, adding that many shows have similar policies.

The ban means Crosby cannot participate in the hit show, which sees celebrities compete in a Scottish castle under the watchful eye of host Claudia Winkleman. Last year's series was won by comedian Alan Carr, who outwitted fellow contestants including Kate Garraway and Paloma Faith.

Crosby suggested that the rule might eventually be relaxed, as happened with ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! 'They'll have this rule for maybe three or four series and then they might have to break the mould a bit,' she said. 'As soon as they do, I will be there with my f*****g cloak.'

Meanwhile, Alan Carr admitted he nearly revealed the outcome of the show shortly after filming ended. Speaking to Radio 2's Scott Mills, he recalled telling a cameraman that he had won, before quickly backtracking and pretending it was a joke.

A new series of Celebrity Traitors has been confirmed, with Alison Hammond and Danny Dyer reportedly among the producers' top choices. Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC, said the show will return in 2026, promising another unmissable series.
