Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone Farmers' Choir Reaches Britain's Got Talent Final
Clarkson's Choir Makes BGT Final, Annoying Simon Cowell

Jeremy Clarkson has added another achievement to his diverse career: the founder of a choir that has reached the final of Britain's Got Talent. The Hawkstone Farmers' Choir, established by Clarkson as part of an advertising campaign for his brewing company, secured a spot in the final after winning the public vote during Saturday's semi-final.

Performance and Judges' Reactions

The choir performed a rendition of Bastille's "Pompeii" on the semi-final episode aired on 23 May. Judge Simon Cowell praised the group but expressed mild annoyance at the prospect of seeing Clarkson's reaction. "You're not a professional choir, however I love what you stand for," Cowell told them. "It might be quite annoying to see Jeremy Clarkson's smug face, that's the only downside. He's a friend of mine. However more importantly this is about you and you did brilliantly well congratulations." Cowell later described the group as "one of the favourites to win." Fellow judge Amanda Holden added: "This choir, I know, has given you solace and joy and comfort and friendship, and all of that has created the most amazing music."

Clarkson's Reaction and Choir's Mission

After the episode, Clarkson shared a celebratory video with his Clarkson's Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper, punching the air and shouting: "Hawkstone Choir! They did it!" The choir's Instagram account posted: "We just can't believe it. Thank you all so much. Thank you for believing in us." The choir, which brings together 34 British farmers, has used its platform to raise awareness for mental health issues in the farming community.

Upcoming Final and Busy Month for Clarkson

The Hawkstone Farmers' Choir will perform in the final on 30 May alongside golden buzzer winner Celestial and teenage magician Rafferty Coope. Clarkson is also preparing for the fifth series of Clarkson's Farm, set to debut on 3 June on Prime Video. The new season will capture Clarkson's health scare in October 2024, when he was rushed to hospital for heart surgery to fit a stent after being told he was potentially days away from dying. Additionally, Clarkson has relaxed a rule at his Cotswolds pub, The Farmer's Dog, to serve British wine, adding to the menu items exclusively British.
