A controversial content creator has disclosed that she generates millions of dollars each year by exploiting 'rage-bait' culture. Annie Knight, known as Australia's Most Sexually Active Woman, is famous for sharing explicit stories online. Her videos frequently attract hate from critics, but the 29-year-old sex worker claims that controversy and outrage are the keys to her success.
She explains that early in her adult career, she realized outrage brings attention, which converts into subscribers. 'Yes, I got to a point where I'd been doing OnlyFans full time for about a year and I realised media attention gets lots of subscribers,' she says. 'People see you, they subscribe to you, and I noticed that every time I got written about, my subscribers would spike.'
Knight adds, 'I also realised the things that perform best online are things people are angry at. Rage bait is absolutely a thing. People love to hate people. The more eyes on you, whether the feedback is negative or positive, means you're reaching more people and a lot of those people are willing to subscribe.'
She decided to openly discuss her sexual experiences without sparing graphic details. 'I knew people would hate it, but I also knew some people would love it enough to subscribe. People went crazy. They were saying horrible things, but the more people commented, the more viral my videos went, the more subscribers I earned. Then media outlets started picking it up too. I definitely realised very quickly that controversy was profitable.'
After being labelled 'Australia's Most Sexually Active Woman', Knight felt pressure to escalate the controversy. 'There was almost a responsibility to maintain that label,' she reveals. 'That's when I came up with the challenges and trying to sleep with as many guys as possible in a year. Those things were controversial, they performed really well, and I made a lot of money from them.'
Knight has previously stated she earns around $3.5 million annually from shocking stunts, such as sleeping with 583 men in a single day last year. In May 2025, she was hospitalised after that challenge due to pain and bleeding. In 2024, she bedded 600 men in a year, doubling her 2023 record.
'Honestly, I have made millions off being controversial,' Knight says. 'Had I not done all the controversial things that I've done, I wouldn't have made even a quarter of the money I've made in the past three years. I reckon I would've missed out on like five million dollars.'
However, she warns there is a limit. 'I think there's definitely a limit. If you become too controversial, you can box yourself in and limit future opportunities. If you offend people or disrespect groups of people, that's when it can go very wrong. I've always tried to stay within my morals.'
Knight also avoids offending other women, as it can limit opportunities in TV presenting or fashion brand deals. 'If I wanted to do TV presenting or brand deals with fashion companies, they're not going to want to work with me if women aren't interested in what I have to say. Obviously with OnlyFans you're going to attract men, that's the goal, but if you want longevity and future opportunities, female audiences matter a lot. I'm not going to disrupt my peace just for views and clicks anymore. At this point, I'm just being myself and how people perceive that is up to them.'
