Dan Osborne has shared a cryptic message about "letting go of what was" following his shock split from wife Jacqueline Jossa earlier this year. The former Towie star, 34, took to Instagram with a series of beach snaps from his holiday in Miami, Florida, including several topless photos.
Alongside the carousel of images, Dan wrote: "Happiness is found in 3 things: - Letting go of what was. - Enjoying what is. - And having faith in what will be." He described Miami as "my favourite place" on his Instagram stories, as he appeared to be enjoying a lads' holiday in the US.
During the trip, Dan admitted to followers that he was not looking forward to returning to England, in another thinly-veiled reference to his home situation. Alongside a picture of Miami Beach boulevard, he said: "I can't tell you how much I don't want to go back to reality."
Dan and EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa ended their 13-year relationship in March, shocking fans. The couple had a rocky history, with split rumours circulating for months before the official announcement. Friends said Jacqueline had accepted it was the end after they lived separate lives for months.
A source close to Dan told The Sun: "Everyone knows they've had their troubles, but after spending some time apart this year, they've decided to make the split permanent. Their two daughters are their main priority." When divorce was raised, friends claimed Dan had doubts before Jacqueline ultimately made the decision.
The insider added: "After all Jac's been through, she's finally had enough. They've been living separate lives all this year and she's over it. There's only so many times she can put herself through living in limbo and taking him back. She has mentally checked out and Dan has panicked."
The split appears to have benefited Jacqueline, who is now happy to "accept not being Dan's wife and just Jacqueline." The source said: "Her confidence has come flooding back and she's happier than she has been in a long time. She's also throwing herself into work and enjoying every moment being the best mum she can be. Life is short - she's determined not to waste it."
