Virgin Island Fans React as Deleted Channel 4 Scene Surfaces Online
Deleted Virgin Island Scene Revealed, Fans React

A deleted scene from the controversial Channel 4 programme Virgin Island has been revealed, sparking reactions from fans who wish it had been included in the series.

The show, which returned earlier this year, follows 12 adult virgins on a tropical island where they undergo an intimacy course guided by sex and relationship specialists. Participants build confidence through various exercises, with some progressing to full intimacy with surrogate partner therapists.

Since its debut in 2025, Virgin Island has faced criticism from viewers who found some scenes too graphic for television. However, the BAFTA-nominated programme has also been praised as life-changing by many.

Now, as the second series has concluded, a deleted scene that never aired has been shared. Sex and relationship specialist Dr. Danielle Harel posted on Instagram: "VIRGIN ISLAND FUN FACT: We had adult entertainers join us on the island to chat with our virgins to help get a better understanding of what exactly so many are watching and (unfortunately) learning from! You can watch the full scene on Virgin Island's YouTube channel."

In the footage, Dr. Harel and fellow specialist Celeste Hirschman introduce adult entertainers to the group. A voiceover explains: "The experts want to follow on from this morning's workshop to take porn off its pedestal when it comes to having real relationships."

Dr. Harel acknowledges that people "think that porn is reality," but adds: "But porn is actually quite far from reality, it's not the best place to learn technique."

The deleted scene includes a Q&A session where adult industry performers answer questions from the cast. Celeste Hirschman also shared another deleted clip on Instagram, where she asks about "the biggest myths in porn."

Calita Fire, one of the performers, responds: "We're just people, some of us like sex, some of us like sex less. We're not having sex 24 hours a day, we have personal lives, we have personalities, we have families."

Fans were surprised by the revelation. One viewer commented on the Virgin Island Instagram page: "There's sooo much good stuff that didn't make it. Season 3 needs MORE air time."

Another responded: "Why didn't they show this in the series? This could've been so good."

A third added: "What a shame this didn't make the cut @virginislandc4 - this could have been a great teaching opportunity to the thousands of young people - especially young men - who are growing up to think porn is how it's done. A poor decision in an otherwise fantastically well made programme."

Virgin Island is available to stream on Channel 4 online.
