Emma Willis Joins Strictly, Sparking The Voice UK Future Fears
Emma Willis Joins Strictly, The Voice UK Future in Doubt

There are growing concerns over the future of The Voice UK after Emma Willis was announced as a host for Strictly Come Dancing. The BBC show returns later this year with a new presenting lineup following the departure of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. Emma will co-host alongside comedian Josh Widdecombe and dancer Johannes Radebe.

Uncertainty Surrounds The Voice

A source told The Sun: "The feeling is very much that The Voice UK is close to being officially done now. There isn't much confidence in the success of the pre-recorded series which is why it has been held for so long. Even if it does come back again, there are serious question marks about how long it could last."

However, ITV has firmly denied these claims. A spokesperson stated: "Any speculation that The Voice UK is coming to 'a natural end' beyond the forthcoming series is categorically untrue. The show remains a much-loved part of ITV's impressive entertainment slate. Production is already underway for Series 15 and we look forward to Series 14 airing this autumn."

Emma Willis on Her New Role

Emma expressed her excitement about joining Strictly: "It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Strictly – I've cheered and danced along from my sofa for years - so to be stepping into the Strictly ballroom is something I can't quite comprehend. It's impossible to fill the shoes that Tess and Claudia have left behind - two wonderful, iconic women who have been the beating heart of Strictly for so long. I can only hope that we are able to help to steer the ship as beautifully as they have, into this new chapter."

Emma will continue to host Love Is Blind alongside her husband Matt Willis when the Netflix show returns.
