Former The Only Way Is Essex star Jake Hall has died at the age of 35, just hours after he shared a tragic final post while on holiday in Majorca. The reality TV personality was found dead with severe head wounds after smashing into a glass door at his rented villa in Santa Margalida.
Details of the Incident
The fatal accident occurred at a villa on the island, prompting police to attend the residence. Officers questioned four men and two women who were also staying at the property, which is believed to be a £200-a-night villa and the site of a wild party on the night of his death. A neighbour told local paper Ultima Hora that the group “hadn’t been causing problems” and seemed “relatively normal,” though they expressed concern over one member’s appearance.
Investigation Underway
A source revealed that witnesses told investigators Jake had been out partying all night and decided to continue the party back at the rental. Police were informed that Jake may have been agitated in the hours leading up to his death, and neighbours reported hearing “loud noises” coming from the property. The Civil Guard is not ruling out any possibilities, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted at a specialist lab on the Spanish mainland, including tests on tissue samples.
The property, featuring two grand bedrooms, a large living room, and traditional Spanish blue shutters, has been cordoned off with police tape amid a thorough investigation.
Final Social Media Posts
Just hours before his death, Jake shared a poignant Instagram post. Despite acknowledging that “life is b*****ks sometimes,” he expressed determination to maintain a positive outlook, writing: “Life is b*****ks sometimes, but I'm gonna try remember the good things - looking through things - I'm just making art - in many forms.” The post included a sweet shot of his daughter, River, whom he welcomed with ex-fiancée Missé Beqiri in 2017.
A day earlier, Jake had posted photos of himself and River during the holiday, captioned: “My world – my world! My world,” alongside a heart emoji. A spokesperson for Missé Beqiri stated: “At this time, Missé's focus is on supporting and protecting their child as they come to terms with this devastating loss. The family are asking for privacy, compassion and respect while they grieve privately.”
Tributes from Friends and Co-Stars
Following his death, many friends and former co-stars shared heartfelt tributes. Tommy Mallet wrote on Instagram: “The only thing weirder than us was our relationship & that’s what made it special.. you inspired me to start my first brand & give me inspiration to start all over again when I see you do it… See you on the other side too buff.” He also shared a video that he said summed up Jake, showing him enthusiastically pointing out that a stranger’s trainers were from Tommy’s label.
Denise Van Outen, who provides the voiceover for TOWIE, posted: “I’ve worked on the show since it started and with any loss within our TOWIE family it is heartbreaking. But he was so lovely whenever I saw him out and he was so friendly and so talented.”
