Katie Price and her friend Olivia Attwood have made light of the ongoing situation surrounding Katie's missing husband, Lee Andrews, after false claims emerged that he had been arrested in Dubai. The 48-year-old former glamour model, who married Dubai-based businessman Lee Andrews in January just two weeks after meeting him, has not heard from him since he failed to appear on Good Morning Britain for a scheduled interview almost a fortnight ago.
Katie and Olivia's Lighthearted Exchange
In a recent Instagram video, Katie appeared alongside TV presenter Olivia Attwood, jokingly lamenting the absence of their partners. Katie turned to Olivia and said, “We’re missing something,” to which Olivia replied, “Yeah, I have looked for him but…” Katie continued, “Well mine’s missing, so at the moment it doesn’t look good, does it?” Olivia, who split from husband Bradley Dack earlier this year, responded, “No, we’ll keep looking I guess.” Katie then looked at the camera and said, “We’re missing our husbands,” prompting Olivia to burst out laughing. The pair followed up with a picture of themselves looking shocked with hands covering their mouths, captioned: “2 gals. Not a husband in sight.”
Background on Lee Andrews' Disappearance
Katie has previously shared a voice message she sent to Lee's father, explaining that Lee went missing with three mobile phones, two of which were taken. Lee reportedly told her, “They’ve taken two of my phones. They don’t know I’m on this phone.” In a caption, Katie wrote: “My head felt like it was about to explode with all the noise and the chaos so it was nice to be about to chill and zen out if only for a moment. It was only the day after he went missing and I was still trying to process it all whilst trying to keep myself busy.”
Recent Developments
Over the weekend, the situation took a drastic turn. It emerged that Lee's phone was still on, despite allegations of his arrest. Katie dismissed claims made by Lee's father, Pete, that Lee had been arrested. She has reportedly been asked to make a television appeal for information regarding her missing husband and is said to be eager to do “all she can” to ensure his safe return. The former I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! star has become increasingly fearful that a “kidnapping” has taken place, leading to official approaches for her to appear on screen.
A source revealed: “Katie has been in almost daily contact with police, at least two different units. On Friday she was asked if she would appear on television and officially appeal for information on her missing husband. It all feels very surreal and like the thing you’d see on an ITV primetime drama.”
