Katie Price has disclosed that her missing husband, Lee Andrews, was carrying three mobile phones at the time of his alleged detention in Dubai. The former glamour model, who married Andrews in January after a whirlwind romance, has not heard from him since 13 May.
New Details Emerge
In a vlog posted to her YouTube channel on 23 May, Price shared more insight into Andrews' final contact with her. During a phone conversation the morning after his disappearance, Price told an unknown person: “Last night, [he] said, ‘They’ve taken two of my phones. They don’t know I’m on this phone. And so he said, ‘I’ll just let you know I’ve been arrested, if they ring you.’”
Price also sent a voice message to Andrews' father, Peter, recounting a FaceTime call in which Andrews appeared to be in a police van with a hood over his head. “He said, ‘They’ve taken two of my phones. They don’t know I’ve got this one.’ He said, ‘But they’ve arrested me.’ I said, ‘What for?’ and he said, ‘I don’t know.’”
Conflicting Reports
Andrews' father initially told DailyMail.co.uk that his son was under arrest in Dubai but not kidnapped. However, Price later dismissed this as “fake news” on her Instagram Story, stating: “Lee is still missing. Me and his family know what’s going on and working with the authorities involved.”
Price previously said she was “taking a step back” from the case after reading messages from concerned fans, explaining: “For my own sanity, I’m taking a step back.”
