A man has been charged with murder following the tragic death of a headteacher who was killed while cycling in Greater Manchester.

Incident Details

Michael Mullins, the headteacher of a school in Stretford, was pronounced dead at the scene of a collision on Paddock Lane, Altrincham, at approximately 6:10pm on Monday, April 20. Police had been called to reports of a serious crash involving a cyclist and a car.

Suspect Charged

Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that Simon Richardson, 34, of no fixed address, has been charged with murder, manslaughter, dangerous driving, failing to stop, and driving without insurance. He is due to appear in court.
