Natasha Hamilton Hits Back at Trolls Over Appearance

Atomic Kitten's Natasha Hamilton has hit back at 'hateful' trolls who shared cruel comments about her appearance. In a defiant update on Friday, the 43-year-old singer addressed online bullies as she shared a selfie on TikTok, flashing her middle finger and writing: 'To all those hating & commenting on my face…' She added the hashtags: '#autoimmunedisease #stopjudging #sortyourownface.'

Health Struggles Revealed

The musician, who rose to fame in the girlband in 1999, was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease a few years ago. This autoimmune condition attacks the thyroid and causes hypothyroidism, leading to symptoms such as fatigue, feeling cold easily, dry skin, weight gain, and depression.

In a previous interview with The Mirror, Natasha revealed that just 12 months ago, she felt she was 'falling apart and had lost all confidence in myself' as she battled perimenopause. She only started to turn her health around when she began Hormone Replacement Therapy. Her lowest moment came six months after the birth of her daughter, Kitty, now two, when she was shooting a pop video while battling thyroid chaos and perimenopause. In the early months of Kitty's life, Natasha barely recognised herself as she rolled out of bed in agony. She said her recall had become so slow and she couldn't find the right words, leading to feelings of insecurity and embarrassment.

Skin Cancer Battle

In June 2025, Natasha opened up about her secret skin cancer battle in an emotional interview on Good Morning Britain. She spoke about her diagnosis of basal-cell carcinoma (BCC), a type of non-melanoma skin cancer, which she received in 2024. Host Kate Garraway noted that Natasha is now cancer-free, but added that she serves as a 'living health warning.' Natasha agreed, stating she must be vigilant and check her skin constantly. Since the diagnosis, she has had a few things appear that required dermatologist visits, and they are on a 'watch list.' She expects to monitor this for the rest of her life.

Natasha explained how she discovered the cancer. After a holiday where she burnt her back, she noticed an itchy spot that she initially thought was a mosquito bite. Four weeks later, when it was still itching, she asked her husband to look. He took a picture, and she realised it might be something serious.
