Olly Murs Fights Back Tears Over Soccer Aid Challenge

Olly Murs has opened up about his fears ahead of a gruelling five-day, 400km endurance challenge for Soccer Aid and UNICEF. The 41-year-old singer appeared on ITV's This Morning via video link from Old Trafford, where he admitted to feeling 'petrified' and 'scared' before setting off.

The challenge, titled Into The Unknown, will see Olly run, row and cycle from Manchester's Old Trafford to London Stadium in Stratford. Speaking to This Morning presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, Olly said: 'I'm nervous, I'm excited. It's here now. I've done the ten weeks of training.'

When asked which activity he fears most, Olly confessed that rowing solo makes him particularly nervous. After watching a video explaining why he was chosen for the challenge—to raise money for children affected by the war in Ukraine—Olly fought back tears. 'It makes me feel really emotional and it makes me more determined to raise as much money as I can,' he said.
