Peep Show star Matt King, best known for his role as the eccentric Super Hans, has disclosed that he suffered a rare spinal cord stroke over the weekend, which initially left him paralysed. In his post, he revealed that despite the initial paralysis, he has since regained the ability to walk, though he described his legs as feeling like 'jelly'.
Understanding Spinal Strokes
A spinal stroke is a rare condition, accounting for only 1.25 per cent of all strokes. It occurs when the blood supply to the spinal cord is disrupted, often leading to severe symptoms such as paralysis. While recovery can be challenging, many patients experience gradual improvement over time.
King's announcement has prompted an outpouring of support from fans and fellow celebrities alike, with many expressing relief at his progress. The actor's resilience has been widely praised as he continues his rehabilitation journey.
