A pro-Trump TikTok influencer who worked at a California elementary school has been arrested on suspicion of possessing child sexual abuse material. Joshua Lee Hefner, 34, was taken into custody by detectives from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office following an investigation sparked by tips from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Arrest and Investigation

Law enforcement executed a search warrant at a property in Madera County after receiving two CyberTips about suspected possession of child abuse material. Hefner was identified as the suspect during the inquiry. Authorities seized electronic devices belonging to Hefner that contained illicit content, according to the sheriff’s office.

Hefner was employed by Madera Unified School District as a part-time cafeteria playground assistant at Dixieland Elementary School. He was arrested at the school after detectives contacted him there. Officials stated that a preliminary forensic review of the devices has not identified any students from the school as victims at this time.

Prior to his arrest, Hefner had amassed a significant following on TikTok under the username @hefner1991, where he regularly posted political videos supporting Donald Trump and MAGA talking points. Some clips garnered hundreds of thousands of views. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with relevant information to contact detectives.
