Ruth Langsford 'Found the Light' After Eamonn Holmes Split

Ruth Langsford has spoken positively about moving on from her marriage split with Eamonn Holmes, describing how she has 'found the light' after a difficult period. The 66-year-old presenter, who toasted her birthday in the South of France earlier this year, said she is now focusing on her career and personal happiness.

In an interview, Ruth reflected on the past two years since she and Holmes announced their separation in May 2024 after 14 years of marriage. She said: 'I've always been a very independent woman, that hasn't really changed. But this is where I found myself, and I just have to get on with my life and make my own happiness and keep my career going.' She added that time is a great healer, calling it a cliché but something she truly believes.

Ruth credited therapy with helping her through the breakup, saying: 'It was absolutely the best thing I did for me, just to be able to talk to somebody who is completely independent of the situation.' She recalled her therapist's advice to 'find your light', which she now feels she has achieved: 'I found my light, so I feel like I've come out through the worst of it really now.'
