Two years after Kevin Hart hosted The Roast of Tom Brady, the NFL icon has finally had his revenge. The Roast of Kevin Hart aired live on Netflix on Sunday, with comedian Shane Gillis serving as host. The lineup of celebrities taking aim at Hart included Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Pete Davidson, Chelsea Handler, Lizzo, and Regina Hall, among others. However, the biggest surprise came when Brady interrupted Hart on stage, asking, “Jesus, do you ever shut the f*** up?”
“All right, this won’t take long, because, as you guys know, I’m a busy man,” Brady continued. “But I do have a few words for you before I return to my affairs in Las Vegas.” Brady is a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces. He then quipped, “Oh, wait, I’m talking about affairs in Las Vegas. Was that off? Not supposed to talk about affairs in Vegas? I think I broke another rule. F*** it. I talked about it.”
The remark was a clear reference to Hart’s 2017 cheating scandal, when footage of him with model Montia Sabbag in Las Vegas was allegedly used in an extortion attempt. Hart later issued a public apology to his wife, Eniko Hart, who was pregnant at the time. The couple reconciled and had a second child together in 2020. Eniko was in the audience during Sunday’s roast.
Brady’s joke came two years after Hart hosted The Roast of Tom Brady in 2024, where numerous jokes targeted Brady’s divorce from Gisele Bündchen and her subsequent relationship with jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente. At that event, Hart quipped, “You know who else f***ed their coach? Gisele,” referencing Brady’s departure from coach Bill Belichick. Hart also joked about Bündchen giving Brady an ultimatum to retire from football, saying, “When you got a chance to go 8-9 and all it’ll cost you is your wife and kids, you gotta do what you gotta do.”
A year after the roast, Brady expressed regret over how the jokes affected his children. Brady and Bündchen were married for 13 years before their divorce in October 2022 and share two children: Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13. “They’re protective of their mom, their dad, of everybody. You don’t mind yourself hurting, you don’t want to see your parents hurt, you don’t want to see your kids hurt,” Brady said on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast. “There’s some things as a parent you f*** up and you don’t realize until after. They were just like, ‘Why did you do that?’”
Bündchen married Valente in a private ceremony in December 2025 in Surfside, Florida. The couple welcomed their first child together in February of that year. The Roast of Kevin Hart is now available to stream on Netflix.
