Inter Milan are poised to reignite their pursuit of Curtis Jones this summer, as the Liverpool midfielder enters the final 12 months of his contract at Anfield. The 25-year-old has been in negotiations with his boyhood club over a new deal for several months, but an agreement has yet to be reached on an extension.
Inter's Renewed Interest
The Italian champions, who made inquiries about Jones in January, remain keen on the England international and are expected to make another approach during the summer transfer window. Liverpool value Jones at approximately £35 million, considering his age and pedigree. It remains to be seen whether Inter will match that fee for a player who could potentially become a free agent in 2027.
Jones' Role at Liverpool
Jones has struggled to secure a regular starting role in Arne Slot's midfield this season and has frequently been deployed as an emergency right-back. The boyhood Liverpool fan was among several players who liked Mohamed Salah's scathing social media criticism of the team's style of play on Saturday.
As the summer window approaches, all eyes will be on whether Inter can strike a deal with Liverpool or wait for Jones to become available on a free transfer in two years' time.
