She died alongside her mother Carmen and younger sister Miranda. Her partner, Fedor Prieto Olivares, was also confirmed deceased hours later.

Martínez had quickly risen through the ranks of competitive bodybuilding. In 2025, she won the South American Championships in Quito, Ecuador, in the Women's Artistic Fitness category, a discipline that combines physique with dance, gymnastics, and acrobatic routines. She was also pursuing dentistry studies and was widely admired for her dedication and optimism.
