Redcar hosts a seven-race Flat meeting on Tuesday, and Newsboy's nap selection, Bayraat, is fancied to win the finale at 5.23. The 10-year-old gelding, trained by Tom Tate, finished second over course and distance last time out, staying on well to be beaten a length by Run This Way, who has since boosted the form with an easy win at Thirsk. Bayraat now runs off a mark 10lb below his last winning rating and has the capable Eireann Cagney in the saddle.
Leicester Selection
At Leicester, Newsboy's next best, Alice De Clare (5.12), can land the last race on the card, the Next Meeting Monday 8th June Handicap over a mile and a quarter. Trained by James Fanshawe, the filly impressed when winning a similar handicap at Yarmouth last time, drawing clear before the final furlong and scoring by three and a quarter lengths from Sports Day. She is expected to defy a 9lb penalty against largely exposed rivals, with Oisin Murphy taking over from George Wood.
