Manchester United host Brentford in the Premier League on Monday night, with up to 11 players potentially absent from the Old Trafford clash due to injury or suspension. Michael Carrick's side are looking to strengthen their grip on a Champions League spot, currently sitting third level on points with Liverpool and Aston Villa but with a game in hand.
Manchester United Team News
Carrick has confirmed that Leny Yoro remains a doubt after picking up a knock in training before the Chelsea victory. "We're still working on [Leny]. There's a possibility, but at this stage, it's not 100 per cent sure," Carrick said.
Patrick Dorgu is unavailable but edging closer to a return to training. "Patrick's working his way to being back. He's certainly making good progress and back closer to training with us," Carrick added.
Matthijs de Ligt has returned to the pitch but will play no part, while Lisandro Martinez serves a suspension following his red card against Leeds United. However, Harry Maguire returns from his own ban and is available for selection.
Brentford Injury Concerns
Brentford manager Keith Andrews confirmed that Jordan Henderson, Rico Henry and Vitaly Janelt will all miss out despite returning to outdoor training. "They're doing well. They've all got slightly different timeframes as to when they'll be back, but they won't be available for Monday," Andrews said.
Midfielder Josh Dasilva and Kaye Furo are also absent, while long-term casualties Fabio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo remain sidelined.
With the end-of-season run-in intensifying, these absences could prove decisive for both sides as they battle for crucial points.
