Death Valley returned to BBC One this Sunday (May 24) with the second episode of Series 2. The hit comedy-drama stars Timothy Spall and Gwyneth Keyworth as Detective Janie Mallowan and TV star John Chapel, who tackle more murder mysteries together.

The series became the BBC's most successful comedy launch in five years upon its first series in 2025. Each episode features a fresh murder plot set against stunning backdrops. So where exactly is it filmed?

  • Little Haven and Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire.
  • Margam Castle in Port Talbot.
  • Maesteg Rugby Club in South Wales, which star Gwyneth Keyworth praised for its authentic Welsh culture.

Keyworth said: "What is great is there's an episode set in a rugby club, which, like for Welsh culture, is a big thing."
